Robotic System Upgrade to ARCEMY® for Australian Defence Supplier

Highlights

  • Order to upgrade robotic welding system to ARCEMY® metal 3D printing specification for Adelaide-based Century Engineering.
  • Century Engineering manufactures equipment & components for the Australian Defence, Mining, Power and Water industries.
  • Upgrade order advances AML3D’s strategic objective to expand ARCEMY® sales into additional Defence and industrial markets.

AML3D Limited (ASX:AL3) ("AML3D" or "the Company") is pleased to announce an A$0.28 million order from Century Engineering, an Australian Defence and industry supplier, to convert an AML3D, robotic welding system into a modern ARCEMY® metal 3D printing system. The conversion process involves a complete overhaul of the legacy system to install modern Wire-Arc Additive Manufacturing componentry and replacement of the software systems with the latest ARCEMY® software.

The upgrades to the Century Engineering robotic system are expected to be completed within the next quarter, and the upgrade order includes 12-months of software support. The completion of the order will see the introduction of an additional ARCEMY® system to the Australian market to support Century Engineering’s ability to meet the needs of their customers across the Australian Defence, Mining, Power and Water industries.

AML3D CEO Sean Ebert said:

Our ability to retrofit an older AML3D, robotic welding system and bring it up to the specifications of a modern ARCEMY® Wire-Arc Additive metal 3D printing system is evidence of delivery of our broader strategic objectives. Expanding ARCEMY sales into Defence and industrial markets outside the US is part of our broader strategy to deliver high levels of sustainable growth. Providing ARCEMY® system capabilities to Century Engineering, a supplier to the Australian Defence and industrial sectors, allows AML3D to further penetrate this important additional market.

It is pleasing to announce a new Australian ARCEMY® order while we are continuing to see huge demand for our ARCEMY® systems and manufacturing capabilities in the USA, especially within the US Navy submarine industrial base and prime US Navy suppliers. This Century Engineering order is evidence of our ability to stay focused on our US Scale up strategy and expand into additional markets such as Australia and, in due course, the UK.”

This announcement has been authorised for release by the Board of AML3D.
