CuNi 90/10 is a copper-nickel alloy comprising 90% copper and 10% nickel. It is a commonly used material for WAM® parts due to its excellent corrosion resistance, good strength, and other favourable properties. CuNi 90/10 offers outstanding resistance to corrosion, particularly in marine and seawater environments. It is highly resistant to general and localised corrosion forms, including pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. This makes CuNi 90/10 a popular choice for applications in the Marine industry, such as Shipbuilding, Offshore structures, and Desalination plants.
CuNi 90/10 is easily weldable and is suitable for a variety of parts produced using AML3D’s patented WAM® process. There is potential for material properties to be enhanced with parameters managed with ARCEMY®s, AMLSoft™ which allows for precise control over wire feedstock deposition and enables the production of medium- to large-scale parts and customised components.
