Super Duplex Super Duplex 2594

ER2594 wire feedstock belongs to the family of super duplex stainless steels, which exhibit enhanced corrosion resistance and higher mechanical properties compared to conventional duplex stainless steels. Composed of iron (Fe) along with approximately 25% chromium (Cr), 9% nickel (Ni), 4% molybdenum (Mo), and small amounts of other elements such as nitrogen (N), manganese (Mn), and copper (Cu) 2594 is an alloy with exceptional corrosion resistance, high strength, excellent toughness, and better corrosion resistance than ER2209 Duplex.

Combined with ARCEMY® and WAM® for product manufacture, Super Duplex ER2594 wire feedstock offers superior resistance to corrosion, particularly in aggressive environments such as chloride-containing solutions, seawater, and acidic settings. The alloy also exhibits high tensile strength, good ductility, and impact toughness and provides excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.

Due to exceptional corrosion resistance and high strength, products manufactured with ARCEMY® and WAM® can be used in industries such as Offshore and Marine, Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing, and Desalination.

AML3D’s ARCEMY® and AMLSoft™ have specific processing parameters for Super Duplex ER2954 in WAM® applications. Appropriate process parameters, such as welding current, travel speed, and shielding gas, are carefully controlled to ensure successful manufacturing outcomes.
